"Nah, just didn't have the energy to go and buy beer." She said with a shrug. "And I have other things to keep me busy." She decided to not aggravate him further by going into details, least she might have to go through another "WHYYY?" worthy of a theatrical drama, and she didn't much like it the first time.
"I thought you were my insurance against muggers. I suppose I'll just have to try and punch them up myself." Jean looked up in the sky with a look of martyrdom, adding a dramatic "Everything you have to do yourself."

Leo seemed contempt with the answer and smiled. "Sounds more like you. For a moment there I thought you were getting clean." He then looked at her in an attempt to see if she had at least gotten clean from the drugs. She did look better then the last time they'd met. Or at least he thought she did so. He gave her a questioning glance, not really daring to pose the question since it was one of the many reasons for their last argue. When she ranted every so slightly he laughed a bit and pointed at her. "Well it's not like you can throw a punch." then he sung the little tune "Baby's got a temper" and played some airguitar though he wasn't quite sure that the prodigy-song did actually have a guitar in it. So he improvised some riffs.

"Are you crazy? Why would I go and do something like that, what would I do all day? Next you will tell me to get a real job." She said with a smirk, soon answering the question of her fighting skills. "What can I say, the student is only as good as it's teacher. And I'm glad to see you're practicing, in a sense anyway. Maybe you have a chance at Baz's auditions after all." Sure, she was still bullying him, but now she did so with love.

He started laughing at her first comment and then laughed even harder as she continued. He could hardly understand what the hell she was talking about. After a quick calmdown he looked at her with a smile. "What do you mean by 'you'. You're coming with me to that audition!"

"I never said that." Jean said simply. "If you're going to try and trick me into it you can at least have the decency to wait until I'm too shitfaced to remember if I agreed or not."

Leo looked at her with a tricky smile, though mostly because she sort of revealed the flaw of the scenario she presented. "Yes, but how will I know that you'll remember that you agreed on it if you're shitfaced when agreeing?"

"I don't know? I'd make me sign a contract." She said with a shrug. "I suppose you'll just have to make sure I have such a good time in your company that I want to do it more often, and so win on keeping you company when you audition." She supposed it could be entertaining to see him make an ass out of himself.

Leo tried not to laugh at the fact that she was in fact helping him to trick her. But on the other hand it felt like she was more or less saying that she wanted him to, which he thought was sweet, in a strange way. But when wasn't Jean just a little bit strange? It was a kind of part of her charm. "Thanks for the tip, I'll try to remember that. But I prefer impro, you know" he said with a exaggerated smile.

"You're saying that like I don't already." A plan would after all require thinking, and even though she though that he did have the ability hidden away somewhere, he never much seemed to want to use it. "Still, if you actually want to be a part of this new band of his, just give him a call."

Leo rolled his eyes ever so slightly and then focused on her again. "Yes, I could. BUT I want to do something unexpected, something fun. This is a great moment to sneak up behind his back and surprise him, you know." He sad enthusiasticly and then added with a smirk. "Plus, I'd like to see his face when I do that, and I can't see it over the phone" he didn't want to take the whole video-call phenomena into the discussion.

"From you, doing the expected would be unexpected. But fine, do it your way." She leaned back her head to scratch herself on the neck in a thoughtful manner. "I never thought Baz was much for wearing his heart on his sleeve however, so I'm not sure you're going to get much of an interesting facial expression. Unless you picked up the nasty habit of reading people's minds." It didn't seem very likely - since she refused to be some sort of ridiculous exception. That movie Darren's niece had shown them really had blown.

Leo almost laughed and then settled with a smile. "Yes, perhaps so. Would that make this move predictable?" He said in a philosophical voice. Leo thought for a moment about if bazz would be considdered a pokerface or not, but he thought the man was quite...alive actually. "I think I've seen some reactions in him. Maybe not a big hug, kisses and a little tear... but a surprised smile is good enough for me." He almost didn't feel like explaining the fact that he wasn't some emo vampire like the one she was referring to. Instead he smiled a bit and added. "Please. I wouldn't be standing here right? I'd probably be hiding somewhere far away from people and their sick thoughts... or I'd sit and listen all day in the most obscure places... Wouldn't you?"

"You always seemed to like sick minds Leo, and hell no I wouldn't. I can hardly stand all the crap people say out loud, who could stand listening to everyone's thoughts as well and not go all columbine on their arses?" Jean also slowed down somewhat to slap him lightly over the back of his head. "And that's for sounding like a major fag."

"Yes, I guess that's why I like you." He smiled at the dual meaning and at her comment. The slap in his backhead took him by surprise and he laughed while correcting his hair slightly, looking up at her with an almost excusing look in his eyes. "Come on, it wasn't that weird to say"

"This place will do." She said as they came up beside a bar, making the decision for them. "It was still a fruity thing to say." Jean pointed out as a comment to his words not being too strange, before taking off the sunglasses that she hadn't needed as far as bright lights went to begin with.
