Alan stepped off the train in the tube and took a deep breath of the London air, hawked and spat on the ground. "London bloody stinks doesn't it? I sure hope it gets better overground."
He looked around the platform to see if there were any people around he could ask for directions to a pub or something, a rainy evening like this was very suited for a lager and besides there wasn't much elso to do after ten in the evening on a weekday.

(thx)
Leo sat at the end of the platform, humming as always. His eyes were aimed at the flourecent lights, some how reminded by the suns warm rays. He had his head leaned back, throat exposed, hands in pockets and slightly slided down on the bench. He had gotten stuck down there due to some bad planning the night before. By this time he had travelled around on different stations all day and slept a little now and then on the different trains. It sure made him feel like a bum, but it was also rather funny to him. Especially now that he could actually leave, but didn't really feel like it. He played with the thought of being one of those imaginary epic scary creatures down in the seemingly never ending net of tunnels. Though, he'd never seen himself as scary, just another pretty boy. He giggled and watched as yet another train stoped and a man stepped off it. Listening to his mumbling words, Leo smiled. "Well they say that the grass is always greener on the other side. Or perhaps the concrete is just cleaner in your case... though I'd doubt that."

Over at the end of the platform Alan saw someone sitting staring at the light so he trotted over and saw it was a young man. He looked awfully satisfied with himself but that was, after all, his problem and not Alans. "pardon my asking but could you point me in the direction of a pub? my throat seems to have gone completely dry"

Leo looked at him as he approached and smiled for a while, as if rolling out the welcomewagon. Though he felt a slight stroke of remorse when the person didn't reply to his own statement. Perhaps he hadn't spoken loud enough. The thought of him talking to himself, again, disturbed him a bit. But he tried to wave away the thought of being tragic and lonely by listening to the man. "Ah yes that horrible drought. I'm surprised that you can talk. But luckily, this is London, and it has a lot of pubs." He then rose and pointed towards the exit, while deciding for himself to accompany the man. The feeling of loneliness needed some chasing away and he did after all like pubs a lot.

Alan scratched his armpit and wondered why the stranger was sitting here all by himself "Fancy a drink yourself do you? I always like to make an acquaintance or two when I'm new to a place." Alan looked intently at the younger man, stuck out his hand and said "Alan's my name and what might the name of my new guide to London be?"

(are you greeting me with the hand that you scratched your armpit with?)

(it sort of affects the reaction, but okay)
Leo nodded as the man revealed his intentions. "Yes, it's not really a good day for playing soccer, so why not" he hardly ever played soccer, but he thought it sounded like a good thing to say. Then he added: "Well, a guide in anyplace is always good to have, even places you think you might know. 'Cause let's face it, you can never know what's coming around the bend." He smiled a bit but then decreased the smile as the man reached out the hand that he had formerly scratched his armpit with. Some how the thought "men *sigh* struck Leo's mind. Then he reminded himself of the fact that he was one and that he just talked about soccer and beer, which made him incredibly manly, he thought. Therefore he grabbed the hand without a frown and shook it. "Leo's the name, stranger" the last word was said with a jokers smile, in reference to the game character in resident evil. He then strolled along the path to the exit and looked back at Alan. "So what sort of pub do you fancy, Alan?"

"Not knowing what's around the bend is what makes things interesting but I sure don't mind knowing where the nearest pub is" Alan didn't know this fellow but he seemed allright despite the differences in age and appearance. Most people just dismissed him as some filthy hippie... of course it was kind of true but still.
"What kind of pub? just some place cheap and warm where I can put my guitarcase down and pick up a pint instead" He shook his guitarcase meaningly and then he grinned and said "Lead the way"

"Very true, the world wouldn't be the same if we knew such thing." Leo smiled at his rather obvious and almost stupid answer. Of course the world wouldn't be the same. The great question is of it would make people apathic or not. He thought of asking Alan but saved the strange questions for later. Even though he did look like a rather funny guy, Leo still didn't want to scare him off. "Should be lots of them places around here" he just said with a shrug and moved along. He then glanzed at the guitar and added. "So what's with the guitar. Singing 'Kum bay yah' or something more creative?"

"hah you've got that right kid" Alan stroked his mustasche and looked down at his guitarcase "This banged up thing? It's for something a bit more creative actually"
Leo seemed pretty much at home here so Alan decided to ask him for a little help "I've actually been looking for a little girl I met on the road a few months ago" Alan looked at Leo as they walked along "Last time I saw her she had all white hair, that's not anyone you would happen to know is it? you seem to be about the same age"

Leo smirked a little as he studied the case, trying to guess what label it could be. The man probably didn't play his type of music, though he could like a touch of Dylan a little now and then. But he was dead tired of Beatles since he himself was from liverpool. He probably had them to thank for when it came to his taste in music and what he played. To grow up and hear 'Oh he's playing the guitar, ey? Sounds like we've got ourselves a new John Lennon!" had made it's mark. "Care to share that creative reason with me?" He simply said, still studying the guitarcase.
The question about the whitehaired girl made Leo scratch his head a bit. Since it used to be in fashoin to have whiteblond hair it was sort of hard do say, also because of his general crowd, who tended to have strange haircolours. "Not if you can't give me a bit more detail, cause I think I know quite a few girls with white hair."

Alan wasn't surprised that he asked about the guitar so he just answered "Well I've got this spacerock band that I play guitar and sing in, kind of like Hawkwind meets Captain Beyond if that means anything to you"
"oh well she's a rather special person actually, she lives on the road just like me..." Alan thought about her for a while trying to remember more about her "now I remember, she has really pale blue eyes if that's any help?"

He raised an eyebrow and lifted his gaze from the guitarcase to the man. The bands he had just mentioned did sound familiar and he could recon what the sound would be like, but it still wasn't his type of music. "Yeh, sort of. So you're here for a gig then or what?" Leo studied the man while he talked and thought that he had a bit of a canny way over him. Or perhaps he just had a hard time setting things straight or thinking straight. Some ol' hippies seemed to have that problem, wonder why, hehe. "Still sounds like a pretty general girl to me" He simply said. Girl with white hair tended to wear bright lenses to enhence the whole visual experience. Though Leo actually fancied the opposite quite a lot, though he hadn't seen it very often. Browneyes and light hair don't mix very often in a person. But then again there was always the lenses. He thought for a spell if he'd met somebody that had mentioned that they were on the road, but he wasn't really the type to ask questions that would lead to such answers. The whole "what's your name, where are you from, what do you do for a living?"-kind of conversation wasn't his type of thing, most of the time. "I need to know something more special about her" he said with a sly smile.
