Balthazar just stood and watched as Leo left without saying a word. As he heard the door shut, he turned around to Simone, and did not really know what to say to her. He nodded. "Ouch." He confirmed and sat down in one of the black leather sofas in front of the TV. He wanted to be alone, but at the same time not. "I'm sorry for that." He told her earnestly.

"Yea. Suppose this sort of renders the question about the split up pointless at least." Okay, now leave or sit down next to him? She liked his company and all, but she wasn't exactly sure they were close enough for this yet. "Do you want me to leave or...?" The rest of the question was sort of left unsaid.

He nodded. It was almost true. It had just been Jean instead of Balthazar. But pretty much yeah. He thought about whether he wanted her to stay or not. He had always handled things like this alone, although he did not always like it. "I guess you don't want to stay after that. I understand."

She was having an inner struggle at this point, she sort of wanted to bail... But... "It's fine. What are we watching?" She went to sit down next to him on the couch.

Balthazar was kind of relieved that she wanted to stay, although it didn't feel wholeheartedly. He took up the remote control that was laying on the table and leaned back in the sofa. He turned the TV on and there were some cheesy soap on. He handed over the remote to Simone. "I don't know, you pick. You know better all these shows." He tried to smile, and managed pretty good, he thought, and then sunk down even more and closed his eyes, trying to relax.

"I don't even own a TV you know." She pointed out but accepted the remote control anyway, and began to flip through the channels. "Oh, IT Crowd. So... Want to talk about it? I promise not to sell you out to the tabloids in pursue of quick money."

Balthazar opened his eyes so he just could see the TV. It looked amusing enough. He opened them up completely, but still looked at the TV, not really taking in anything of it. "Me, talk? Yeah right." That last part was almost impossible to hear. He looked at Simone. "No, I think I'll spare you... I don't even know... I just... Am going to shut up now." He himself did not know what was rushing through hid mind right now, so there was no point in trying to explain it all to someone else.

"Don't you do enough of shutting up as it is?" She said, but quickly pulled back. "But it's okay. I love this episode. You'll like it, it has the goth."

Balthazar smiled as she quickly changed the subject and watched her watch the TV a while before he too started to look. He chuckled at the right parts. But he felt like he had to explain himself, so after a while he said: "It's... Complicated, you know." It wasn't much of an explanation, but that would have to do, he thought.

"Yea. It seemed complicated." She agreed. Simone was also mighty disappointed, Leo just seemed even less like who she had pictured than Balthazar had done. It was probably for the best, but it sort of felt like she had been told Santa wasn't real either way.

Balthazar nodded slowly, and then watched the TV again. After a while he asked: "So how's school?" He felt small talk was perfect right about now.

"It's fine. A lot of work mostly. But you know, it's what I want to do, so I tough it out." And she wasn't exactly going to force him to talk about what happened - even if she'd lie if she said she wasn't curious. "So what were you doing with my hand anyway?"

He smiled at the little reminder what had happened before their fight. "I was just trying to prove to you that vampires exist." He shrugged just a bit, like it wasn't a big deal.

"You have a funny way of doing so. Can't say I'm particularly convinced." It just struck her as weird really.

"Well that could be because I got interrupted by... Leo." He had planned a more unpleasant word, but just let it be. "So I can see why you have a hard time believing it." Balthazar took down a white furry blanket that was hanging over the back of the sofa, and covered himself, making a gesture towards Simone's side of the sofa, where another blanket laid, if she wanted one.
