"Hopefully she isn't. At least not if either two listened to a word I said." Which, given, they didn't. "I don't mind, although I do mind walking. So what is your history anyway, you seem like a pretty odd couple." Honestly, she wasn't sure she cared, but it was conversation.

"Pretty odd couple? I guess that's true" He thought about it for a while "I'm sure some people have got the wrong idea seeing us together as well but it's not like that, if you know what I mean." He tried to remember back to when they met, it seemed like it was a very long time ago "Well, to make a long story short you can say I found her when she hadn't been homeless for very long and kind of took her under my wing" He chuckled "She really needed some help, at least it seemed like it and she turned out to be good company as well. Some people you meet turn out to be a real pain in the ass but I actually really like her"

"Didn't figure it was, I'm not so sure you're not too old for me..." Sort of depended on how old he actually was. He could as well be a really perky fifty-something or a really run down thirty-year-old. It was always hard to tell. "And I can promise you that I'm older than Isola." Altough not by quite as much as it felt like. Jean then shrugged her shoulders at the story. "Maybe your biological clock is ticking." A grin followed the statement as she stopped by a bus stop.

Alan didn't quite get what she meant, his mind was a bit foggy, but he thought it seemed like a compliment and smiled "Thank you!"
"Maybe it is... I'd better see to sedating it a bit before I end up with more children" He winced a bit "That sounded pretty bad, I don't have any kids that I take care of but I do have some mistakes in the past but to be honest... I'm hardly the greatest father-figure around and those two are way better of with their mothers" He chuckled a little and stopped next to Jean "How about I have a look in my bag and see if I can find something else to drink?"

"I believe you." She told him as he said that he wouldn't be a great father. Jean wouldn't be a great mother either - but she would make sure not to get any children instead. The thought was actually pretty disturbing. "I thought you already did, but if you haven't, be my guest."

He looked through his bag but found nothing. "Well... I'm all out" he said with a hint of disappointment in his voice. Looking up from his bag Alan noticed a bus that was getting closer "Um, is that the bus?" he said and pointed "I sure hope so, I'm thirsty"

"It is." She told him, not surprised that he hadn't found anything, seeing as how he had said he was out. Once the bus stopped at the station they were standing, she paid for the both of them and stepped on. "Don't worry, we will be at your friends house soon enough, and she always seems to have something to drink."

"Sure sounds like her" he chuckled "But then again, if you need the drink then you should always keep it close". Alan didn't really know what to say, the main rush had subsided a while ago and he was feeling the usual numbness which was nice but he felt he had to say something to pass the time. "I'm thinking of leaving London in a few days, just for a while though. I need to get in touch with some other friends of mine and they have this collective in Newcastle" He didn't think she cared but he felt like talking.

"I'm assuming that means none of your friends use cell phones either then." Fucking hippies. "Although lets focus on getting in touch with Isola now, seeing as how we're already on the bus."

"Well... uh, I don't know really" He rubbed his head "They might since they've got this whole community thing going on... But yes, let's focus on Isola for the moment."

With the rest of the ride being quite eventless, Jean soon found herself outside of Leo's old apartment door with a smoke in hand and a nod forward. "There you have it, can't promise she'll be home though, but if she didn't swap the locks I have the keys anyway."

"Well we'll find out, let's go inside" He was restless and looked forward to seeing Isola, he also needed a drink real bad. Alan chuckled "I hope she's home but sleeping, I'd like to see the look on her face when she wakes up!".

Realizing that he wasn't going to knock, she simply dug up her keys and opened the door to let him in. "Do you want me to leave the two of you alone?" Jean asked, figuring that she probably shouldn't have Isola's spare key, she also took it off her key chain to either give it to Isola herself or Alan.

"As far as I'm concerned you can come with me inside but it's up to you" Looking inside for a brief moment he then looked back at Jean "Well?" he said and smiled.

"Yeah, sure." She said, stepping inside, figureing she hadn't come all this way just to go home before going inside. "That's the bedroom." Jean added with a nod towards a door, in case she was sleeping.
