"Yeah I guess it is." He nodded as he spoke, ignoring her sarcastic comment, still with a smirk. "And I'm here with you now. You're curing me of my boredom." He dug down his hands in his pockets of his coat and nudged Simone's shoulder with his, just very lightly.

"I'm useful that way." Simone answered as he lightly nudged her. "You sounded surprised when I called though."

"Yeah, I was surprised. I hadn't expected you to call. Not any time soon anyway. But I'm glad you did!" He wouldn't tell her that he had just woken up. Humans were stupid, not noticing what was right in front of them, even if the vampires were good at hiding it, but it was equally stupid to put fuel to the fire. Or whatever.

"Why give me your phone number if you didn't expect me to use it?" She threw an eye up at the sky again. Still nothing but the moon. Simone gave a secret smile as she supposed she got a metaphorical star at least, glancing at her company. "You have an ability of making me very puzzled."

"Giving my number doesn't mean I expected you to call. But you know... You could." They were not far from the garden, and he could smell the faint smell of the roses. Roses at night smelled lovely. He just smiled at her last comment.

"You're making me feel plentifully loved here." She pointed out as she some time after Balthazar too noticed the roses - although rather from seeing them than smelling them. "Are you feeling less stressed out now than before, at least?"

Balthazar smirked and raised an eyebrow at Simone, as she interpreted his meaning completely wrong, but she surely knew that. The garden was beautifully lit, and he thought this was a great idea to go here. "No not really, but I try to take things as they come, you know. Try to relax in between."

"Come on, no one can be stressed out by the sound of rippling water." She assumed that there was a fountain nearby. That or a plentifully strange bird. "I can basically feel the stress from finals flow from me." Now it was her turn to nudge him in an encouraging manner.

Balthazar stopped, closed his eyes, and took a deep fake breath, to symbolize him relaxing. After he'd exhaled, he opened his eyes again, looking at Simone. "There, all better." After her nudging him he asked with a smirk: "So how is it going? You know, the finals?"

"You know, I think it went well. With danger of jinxing myself by saying it out loud." She shrugged lightly while moving towards the sound of water. Now she too was begging to feel the smell of roses. "It's hard to know though, even if you got every single piece of fact right, the professor can very simply decide that your interpretation of them is up the walls crazy."

Balthazar nodded, remembering when he went to school, years and years ago. He hadn't have many different teachers, but he had one he just couldn't get along with at all. "Yeah, and unfortunately, I guess, it's much about chemistry."

"Possibly. Maybe I should just invest in a really small skirt for the sake of my education." Simone said this in a mighty thoughtful tone, but one could imagine she was probably joking.

"Yeah I'm sure you'd get top grades if you did." He could hear how stupid and untactful that sounded, but he couldn't take it back. "Not that you wouldn't anyway... But... You know..."

"I don't know, I'd have to find excuses to bend over and pick things up all the time. Just plain doesn't seem to be worth the effort." Based on the answer, she probably didn't take offense.

Balthazar shrugged. "Well, if you were desperate, perhaps" He found a bench nearby, and made a gesture to it. "Sit?"
