Simone didn't make a habit of entering big parks alone at night, but to be honest, she'd been so happy when Balthazar had wanted to see her that she didn't really have to think twice about it. She had to admit it did puzzle her that he wanted to see her at night, but she supposed she had her own quirks and no right to judge.
Seeing as how he didn't seem to be by the benches where they were supposed to meet yet, she just pulled up the zipper of her brown leather jacket, put her hands in the pockets of her jeans and ended up looking up at the sky while waiting. You couldn't really see any stars. That's the sacrifice for life in the big city, she supposed.

Balthazar had been surprised when Simone had called him that evening. He had just gotten up, actually she might have woken him, if that was even possible. Even though it was clear she hadn't been talking about meeting this night, she had accepted his suggestion. He was wearing a pair of simple black trousers and one of his many black velvet coats over a white shirt. Quite the stereotype vampire, but this was just what he liked, and he thought no more about it. He saw that Simone already were where he had said they would meet, and went over to her, with his hands in his pockets of his trousers. "Hey. You see something interesting?" He too looked up at the sky.

Looking over at him as she heard him come Simone shook her head, although smiling. "Not until now, no. I have to admit, I'm feeling a bit under dressed. You must be the only person I have ever met that dress up for a walk in the park." At midnight, none the less. "How are you?" The young woman then continued to uphold formalities, while still genuinely caring for the answer.

Balthazar looked down at his clothing, sincerely not understanding her. This was what he usually wore, but then again, he never really dressed up, so he guessed this would be some of the best he had. "I'm not dressed up." He simply told her with a smile, and nodded to her question. "I'm good. I am. And you?" He took out his hands from his pockets and made a gesture towards her.

The smile that resulted from his answer seemed much like a silent laugh, and she continued to do an approving gesture. "I suppose I'm just too workaday myself then - I can live with that. Yea, I'm fine too. If you discount the fact that I dug for mace every time the wind blew through the trees making a rustling sound, the walk here was quite pleasant as well." Sad part was that she wasn't lying, but at least she could joke about it.

"I'm sorry, I should have picked you up." He hadn't really thought that she would be scared, he was so used to being... More or less immortal, that that hadn't really crossed his mind. He made a gesture to the bench beside them. "Shall we sit or do you want to walk?"

"It's okay, I probably need to get over that anyway. Obviously nothing happened." She had never been as jumpy as she was now before, well, that girl in the alley. Now she checked that her door was locked three times before she went to bed and it wasn't really healthy. "I did always want to see the rose garden, but I never really got around to visiting. I mean, I had planned on doing it in the light of day, but I'm sure this works out too."

"Well a young girl like you really shouldn't be out alone. It was my mistake." He was about to say 'sorry' again, but stopped himself. He also tried to come up with an explanation to why he wanted to meet at night, but decided to not bring it up. That was just unnecessary. If she asked, that was another thing. "OK, let's do that then." He smiled and put a hand behind her back just for a second as to say 'let's go'.

"I do wonder though, is there any specific reason you wanted to meet up here? Not that I mind, I'm just curious." As he put his hand on Simone's back she began walking, knowing the general direction from the map she had looked at as she entered the park.

Balthazar shrugged, not really knowing why, it had just seemed like a good place. "As good a place as any. And I didn't feel like going to the typical club, or pub, you know?" Balthazar walked beside Simone, having been to the garden before, and knew the direction.

"It does surprise me though... The fact that you mostly seem to prefer solitude I mean. Not what I expected." He did get a friendly smile in the end. "But I prefer this to a noisy club too."

"Why does that surprise you?" He might have some idea what made her think that, but he did not really know. He just guessed that all other rock stars were out... Well, living the life of a rock star, and Jeans words rang in his ears.

"Well, why does one pursue a life of fame if they prefer solitude? I suppose it's really your business. It just surprises me is all." She kept her eyes mostly in front of her as they walked, in the just slightly illuminated darkness she wanted to make sure she didn't trip on something.

"Well, sometimes that solitude can get boring. And well... I enjoy singing and playing. And I have more money than you can ever imagine." He smirked, looking at Simone, not having to look where he were going, not to fall.

"You don't like to brag though." She said with an amused twist of her lips. "Is that solitude beginning to go boring about now? Is that why you decided to head back into the business?"
