"Oh, I'm sorry. I just get restless so easily, and I thought it might sound rude if I said that I was going out because I was restless." Balthazar chuckled to himself. "Well, of course you don't have to wait if you don't want to." Balthazar returned her smile, digging his hands down in his pockets on his black velvet coat.

"I plain get tired with the club scene easily. I'm not much for dancing and I have no intention on hitting on people or getting ridiculously drunk. So do you feel better now that we..." She silenced, looking past him into an alley they were passing. "Wait..." She told him as she passed him to walk in between the two buildings.
"Excuse me, miss? Are you alright?" She could just be really drunk, but it really felt like it was her duty to make sure the girl was fine - and get her home if she was just shitfaced. After having walked up to her she noticed she was awfully pale though, and upon closer inspection she wasn't breathing either.
"Oh my god, call 9-9-9, she's not breathing!" Checking her pulse she noticed that she didn't have one either, and was then trying to in a rather panicked manner figure out if there was any point to giving C.P.R. when a person was already dead.

When Balthazar noticed that Simone had seen the girl, he tried to smooth it over, trying to make her continue walking home, talking to her, laying his arm around her shoulder, but let her go when he understood it did not work. She was going over to the body, with him right behind her. He hoped to god she hadn't seen him coming from that alley earlier! "She's probably just passed out, she'll wake up later..." When Simone noticed that she was dead, and asking him to call 999, he didn't take up his phone. "Simone, come on, let's go, she's probably just sleeping." He noticed how ridiculous he sounded, but he would in no way be connected to this body. This body with no blood.

"She has no pulse. She's not sleeping, I need to call someone." She did dig up her own phone to dial the emergency number, even though her hands was visually shaking. It didn't seem to have been a very violent death, but it was still the first time she'd ever seen a dead person outside of a funeral.

Balthazar noticed Simone shaking, and a chance to buy some time. He took her shaking hands and tried to calm her. "Calm down. I'll make the phone call, and then I'll take you home, okay?" He glanced down at the girl, and then looked at Simone again with a calming smile, and cursed himself for not hiding the body better. He was old enough to know these stuff.

Simone hesitated for a second or two, but finally nodded. It didn't matter who called after all, just that they did. She looked over at the girl for a moment before deciding that it was hard to actually look at her. Poor girl, she couldn't be a lot older than Simone herself. And she wasn't going to get older either.

Balthazar gave Simone a gentle hug and stroked her hair to comfort her before he took up his phone from his jeans pocket, and walked away just a bit. He dialed 999, so that Simone could hear it, but when he was supposed to press the call button, he pressed the red one, and began faking the call. "Yes, hi. I've found a dead body at..." He looked around to see where they were. "...at 51 Keaton street. Yes. Yes. Great. Thanks." He pressed pressed the red button again, and put the phone in his pocket again, walking over to Simone. "There. The cops will come, and take care of it all. Now, let's get you home." He smiled at her and laid his arm around her shoulders.

"Shouldn't we wait for them to show up? They probably have questions." Simone pointed out while chewing on a nail in a nervous manner, still with her phone in her hand.

"No, it's okay, they said we didn't have to stay. Now, you must show me where you live." Balthazar began to walk, hoping Simone would come with.

If she hadn't been so shook up, she would probably react to the way he phrased that, but as it was now, she just walked with him. After walking in silence for a while she suddenly spoke up. "I just can't believe it... I mean, that was someone's daughter, someone's friend."

Balthazar was relieved that Simone followed with him, and they did not talk for a while, before Simone spoke. And was this about 20 years ago, Balthazar would have been really upset that he was reminded of who he had killed, but he just did not care right now. "Yes, it's... terrible, it really is, but those things happen."

Another pause. "How do you think she died?" It was a morbid question, sure, but Simone couldn't help but to wonder. She hadn't looked hurt, but young girls usually didn't fall down dead in alleys by themselves. the girl had after all studied violence driven cultures of all kinds, but this was the first time she had been face to face with anything that even resembled that in real life - and she couldn't help but feel fascinated, even though she knew it would be considered wrong.

Balthazar thought for a moment before answering. "Perhaps she ODd. Or got a stroke. A heart attack. It could be anything." Balthazar wanted her to just forget this, but of course he understood that was going to be hard, impossible really. But to try to make her think about something else he asked: "So where do you live? Is it far from here?"

"It's very unusual for someone that age to have a stroke without the involvement of drugs... So I suppose." She shook her head, the fact that people did stuff like that to themselves puzzled her. "Maybe a thirty minute walk or so. You can take the tube too."

"Yes, it most certainly had something to do with drugs." He was relieved that he got her to talk about something else than the girl, although he didn't expect it to last long. "I don't mind walking, so it's up to you. Are you too tired to walk?" This was not how he had thought this night would turn out. He had been at risk of getting discovered before, but then he had been alone. Of course he could just have left, but that had seemed really weird, and it wasn't like he was just some random person.
