"Then I'm flattered. Although to be honest, I would probably leave pretty soon too if you weren't here too, so it's mutual. It's pretty seldom sober guys without certain intentions talk to you in this kind of place, so it should probably be cherished." She looked thoughtful for a moment, before changing the subject.
"I'm sorry if this is too personal, but what happened to the others, if you're holding auditions for a new band I mean." Simone was bright enough to realize that the twenty reasons for their split up provided by the press probably wasn't true.

When Simone asked hat happened to the other members of Angels at night, Balthazar got silent, thinking. He did not really know what to say, or IF he should say anything. But he decided not to talk about it. He tried not to sound to harsh. "I'm sorry, I can't tell you..." To try to smooth over it he asked: "But I would love to hear your theories. But I have heard so many, I don't think it will be anything new." Balthazar smirked.

"It's okay, I understand. I always just assumed they got tired of it, I mean, must be sort of rough to be in constant spotlight. But I still can't help but to wonder what happened to them after wards, even though it's obvious why you can't talk about it." She smiled with a shrug. "My theories aren't more interesting than that I'm afraid, even though I heard all kinds of crazy rumors when it happened. At least I know what happened to one of you now?" Simone had to admit she hadn't wondered enough to go looking, but now that he was here and reminded her it was hard not to think about it.

Again, Balthazar started to think about Leo. Leo as a human, and now as a vampire. He wondered what would be if he hadn't become a vampire. Would they still be playing? Would something else have made them split up? He shook his head just a little to get back to reality, where there were no AaN, and Leo wasn't human. He just answered with a cryptic: "Yeah..." It was funny how she just assumed that it was the other members, and not Balthazar, who had broke it off. Of course she was right, and with him trying to get together another band, it was quite obvious it was right. "Yes, there are some crazy rumors out there." Balthazar chuckled quietly to himself.

"Would you be very disturbed if I asked which rumor you find the craziest?" Simone was a full out believer in Occam's razor however, and assumed that the simplest of the explanations was probably the true one, and thus not as interesting to discuss.

Balthazar sat and thought a moment on her question. "I think I would have to say... Well, that Leo had tired of the spotlight." Balthazar laughed to himself, but stopped when he understood that private jokes perhaps wasn't the best to come with. But then again, the fans probably knew how much Leo had loved the spotlight. "Well, no, seriously... I think I read this thing on a forum for people who believe in vampires, where someone had posted a theory, that we were ordered to quit, by some sort of... "vampire leader". Really silly." Balthazar just presumed that Simone had heard the rumors on him being a vampire.

Simone laughed as a response. "Like on a fandom-board? Seriously though, people believe the strangest things and some people just need to give up their Ann Rice. Have to admit it feels a bit strange to hear you talk about him like he's just anyone though." She realized how this sounded, and she continued. "I know that he is, but, since I haven't had him buy me a Mint Sunrise in a crowded club yet he still seems sort of... Unreal. Like you did about thirty minutes ago."
That add really just seemed to make it sound even stranger and so she continued with: "I bet that sounded stupid, but it's the truth."

"No, it was this completely serious site, which make it even more crazy." Balthazar laughed. "I understand you, but do I feel so unreal to you know? He is just as unreal as that, I can assure you." But perhaps that was a lie. Leo was more... Unreal, even when he were a human, and even if you knew him. He was more out there, while Balthazar was more laid back.

"Members of bands you like somehow feels fictional since you don't really know themeven though you know who they are and what image they put up to their fans, so to be honest, this is a bit like hanging out with Jane Christie from Coupling. Unreal."

Balthazar laughed at her comment on it being like hanging out with Jane Christie. "But now that you've met me, does it still feel unreal?" Balthazar had met a lot of fans, but none had actually said what it felt like meeting him. Well, not seriously anyway.

"To be completely honest, it doesn't really feel like I'm meeting you, you, but like the actor that plays you. Sort of like you can't meet Harry Potter, but you can meet Daniel Radcliffe... Does any of this make any sense? I mean, I know you're you consciously." ... Did Balthazar have impersonators sort of like Elvis or Michael Jackson did?

"Oh, yes, I see. But trust me, this is one hundred per cent me. Am I not what you had imagined?" Balthazar wanted to shake her, make her see that this really was him. It bugged him, and he didn't really know what to do or say to make her understand that. It felt like whatever he did, no-one would ever know the real him. He took another fake sip of the wine.

"If you were what I imagined I'd be kind of bothered, I was one screwed up teen." Should she not have admitted that? "Well I like the hundred percent you then. Probably more than I would have liked your stage-persona in person." It was nice to be talking to a guy and knowing he didn't expect it to go anywhere actually.

Balthazar laughed. "Well, what had you imagined then?" There were may things he could think she had imagined. He smiled at Simone. He had never thought he would meet an old fan that he actually could talk to. It was nice.

"Please lets not get into that, then I might have to go home and hide in shame afterwards. Lets just leave it at the fact that a lot of people act a little weird in their teens. Trying to find out who you are and so on." She gave him an amused smile. "I mean, if you managed to go through your entire teen years without anything like that I might have to slap you to even the odds."
