"I'm here with my class mates." She pointed at a group of people, not really sticking out from the rest in the place. "I'm not sure how they can afford to be drinking like that, but I suppose I should just be worrying about my own bills. You seem a bit more sober, so I think I rather stay here if that's okay with you."

"So what are you studying?"
Balthazar looked in the direction where Simone pointed, but could only see a big mass of people, but smiled and nodded like he had seen them.
"Yes, that's okay"
He actually didn't mind. She didn't seem like any of the other fans, but still he couldn't really relax.

"I major in History... What do you do nowadays anyway? If you don't mind me asking." She had to admit, a part of her brain was a screaming fan girl right now, but she had enough self control and sense not to act that way... And with any other guy she would ask him what he did for a living.

Balthazar took another "sip" from his wine, thinking perhaps he did that too often, after all, the liquid did not decrease. And he nodded at her saying she majored in history. "Oh, history. A very interesting subject indeed" He hesitated a little on telling her what he was doing, but then he said, although, he thought, that she probably already knew: "Actually, I'm holding auditions for a new band." Balthazar was about to take another sip of the wine, but stopped himself, just took a grip of the glass.

"It really is, school has me stressed out of my mind most of the time, but I still love it. Even the boring lectures at eight in the morning." She seemed pretty happy to talk about it and took a very real sip from her own drink. "Really? Auditions? Too bad I'm tone deaf I suppose. You must have a lot of applicants though, can't even imagine how many people must want that chance." She wasn't completely sure it would be the same thing without the others though. Most of the time Simone had a hard time deciding which member was her favorite, not that it really came up a lot nowadays.

Balthazar liked the enthusiasm Simone showed for the subject. It made him remember the time long ago when he was studying. And he too liked it. "I'm glad you like it. Do you have any favorite era?" He said with a smile and nodded at her questions. "Yep, auditions, and yes, there are a lot of people that want to be a member. Today was the first day, but I'm already tired of it!"

Smiling wide as he showed an interest, Simone looked very thoughtful, it was always hard to chose just one age, there had been so many interesting one. "I think I'll have to say the bronze age, there where so many fascinating civilizations that surfaced during that period. I mean, I've never met one single person that isn't interested in ancient Egypt, and that's just one of them." He might not have wanted such a long answer, but then he shouldn't have asked.
"Although, as far as auditions go, you must have seen it coming? You were very popular, a lot of people still remember you."

Balthazar sat and listened interested at Simone's answer. "Ancient Egypt is something almost everyone is interested in, it seems. Including me. There is so much about it still to learn." He laughed softly at her question and nodded.. "Yes, I did see it coming, but still, I did it, but starting to regret it." He shrugged his shoulders and took another fake sip of the wine.

"Like I said, everyone loves it. And if they just knew more of the rest of the other early civilizations I'm sure they would love them too. And I suppose it's hard to get in education with your schedule?" Reminded of her drink as he sipped from his wine, she gave her own some more attention. "You get a lot of UFOs, huh? If it's none of my business, feel free to tell me to go to hell."

"Me go to school?" The thought amused him, it was a very strange thought, but he could see why anyone else wouldn't see it as strange. His smile widened "No, I have enough with the music at this time. Perhaps if this band doesn't work out. There have been a lot of UFO's, yes. But I just tell them to fuck of right away. I don't have time for them."

"Sounds like you should have made reality tv from it, you would have made a lot of money if you're cursing at people that can't play." She didn't often look at those series, but she had understood that they were popular. "At least you can afford to study if you wanted to right? I don't really know anyone that isn't in a great deal of debt at my school. I bet it would be a lot easier to concentrate without worrying about that."

"Damn! Yes, I should have done that. Then perhaps I could afford to study for a hundred years. Or perhaps it could be used for some kind of scholarship." Balthazar seriously thought that a good idea, and he almost got lost in his thoughts, but shook his head just slightly go get back to reality. "Yes, that is true. I can guess the tuition is just silly."

"It's fine, you can always do like that guy from Poison..." She waved with her finger in the air a bit as she tried to remember. "The singer... Bret Michaels! He made a bunch of money on trying to find a bimbo to marry." Simone silenced. "Not that I'm saying you'd want to marry a bimbo. Well, he didn't either, actually he tried to marry two of them and they didn't agree. At least they got a second season?" Embarrassing.

Balthazar laughed. That was really a crazy idea. Really a stupid thing to do. "So that's what you kids watch these days? I have never heard of that. Is it something you would like to see me in?" He realized he sounded like an old man, and tried to distract her. "I see you have almost finished your drink. Do you want another one?" Without getting an answer he got the bartenders attention.

"I just saw that show a few times at a friends place... It was a bit entertaining, I admit that. And if you did start one, I would probably watch it." Or apply. Okay, no, probably not. Stupid idea. Then she waved his question away. "I can't afford it. This place was way too expensive for me."
