"It is. It is a lot bigger. And a lot more boring." He looked up the path, and to the entrance, and then back to Simone. "I think you'll survive that last bit, or what do you think?"

"I figured you followed me home more for the company than my safety. But yes, I think I'll be fine on my own." Simone started digging through her pocket for her keys.

"I did, I'm sorry, I'll follow you up too." He waited for her to find her keys. He had thought that she just wanted to go home, to be alone, doing whatever she was going to do. But he did not mind. He was hungry, yes, but he had a meal right here, he would be fine, even if she invited him in.

"Don't worry about it. Somehow you just seem to like company, even if we're both silent." Some people liked that after all. She got them both into the building, holding up the door to him before going in herself.

He just answered with a simple: "Yes." And then smirked at the silence that followed. As he went past Simone, and in to the building, he thanked her, and waited for her to lead the way. He knew where she lived, but it seemed more polite that way.

Letting him have his silence, she lead the way up the staircase, stopping as she reached her door. "Good night, Balthazar. I had a nice time."

"Good night." He noticed the corridor was empty and made a quick decision. He leaned down as if he were to kiss her cheek, but went even further and bit her neck.

Simone was quite surprised as Balthazar moved closer, and was just about to ask him not to when things didn't really go as she thought they were about to. Soon after she passed out, as was appropriate when you lost a lot of blood too quickly.

As Balthazar drank her blood, he reached for her hand and her keys with one hand, and held her up with the other. When he felt it was enough, he stopped, opened the door, and went in. He found her bed and laid her on it. He sat down on it beside her and took her wrist for another little sip. Before he left, he took his own blood on her wounds to heal them, and laid her keys in her hand.

Simone didn't wake up until the next day when her alarm clock rang, noticing that she seemed to have fallen asleep with her clothes on, and as she got up to get ready, Simone got pretty sure why that had happened as she almost passed out standing up.
She ended up getting out of her clothes and just going to bed again rather than going to school.

As Balthazar had left Simone's apartment, he had been quite full, and had nowhere to go really. But he had returned to the park, found another human to slurp some, and another to follow home. An hour before dawn, Balthazar had gotten home to his big empty, plain apartment, and gotten to sleep in his big bed in his bedroom with no windows.

Simone didn't wake up until later that afternoon, and was still feeling light headed. She ended up laying in bed another hour before ordering takeout and calling a classmate to get the notes from todays class.

Just half an hour after the sun had set, Balthazar woke up. He rose from his bed, got dressed, and sat down at his desk he had in his bedroom. A lot of papers too be done, and he sighed. First of all he took another look through the piles with people that had auditioned, and that pile soon got quite smaller. When he had also taken care of some invoices, he got up from the chair, and got his mobile phone out of the pocket of his jacket hanging in the hallway. He called Leo. No answer. He called Jean. No answer. He hesitated before he called Ice, but did it nonetheless. But no answer. Just as he had laid down the phone on the small table in the hall, he took it up again, and scrolled down to Simone's number, and pressed the green button.

Simone who was laying on her bed reading todays notes with a cup of coffee in her hand, looked up as she heard her cellphone. Putting down the notes on her stomach, she reached for her phone while trying not to pour out her coffee. "Simone." She answered as she put the cellphone to her ear.

"Hi." He realized that she might not know it was him, and added: "It's Balthazar. I just wanted to know how you are doing tonight. You... said you weren't feeling too well when I left." He sat down in a wing-back chair in his smaller living room.
