"It's not really anything that you just say. Also... I thought you understood that. Doesn't the vampires in all the movies and books... don't they kill? I thought you would draw a conclusion. I didn't think it would come as such a surprise to you."

She seemed to be getting upset again.
"We've known each other for months and not once did you think of informing me that the dead girl that I found all that time ago was your victim? One of perhaps many?"

He felt how he too began to get upset again as Simone did, but tried to answer calmly.

She was quite sure of it at least.
"Drinking blood, I can live with, perhaps even killing in certain extreme situations. But what had she done?"

Simone seemed to have done a lot of thinking when she was away.
"I remember it you know, it didn't make any sense then, but Leo wondered why you hadn't killed me, didn't he?"

He looked down, remembering that too. He looked up at Simone again with a stern face.
"I guess he did. And the reason was that I liked you. And I've come to love you. I'll do anything for you."

He thought she was going to continue yelling at him and was surprised when she didn't say anything at all.

She asked, but soon seemed to change her mind.

"It's nothing I have to do, or even enjoy." Anymore, he thought for himself.
"It's not like I'm promising to never drink blood again."
