"I don't have anything on me worth mugging someone for." It just wasn't in Jean's nature to listen to Leo. It was like a cosmic rule or something. "I've already had my life threatened once today, it's not likely to happen twice in one night."

"What was the point of rescuing her if you intend to kill her later on?" Isola nodded towards the girl lying unconscious on the couch, right now she just wanted out of here and take the other girls with her, anywhere except here. She bent down towards the girl, the girl's arm around her neck and told the third girl that was left to help carry. Together they carried the girl between themselves and went out from the bar.

Balthazar just stared at Isola, not knowing what to tell her. How did you tell a human how it was like to be a vampire? Many explanations rushed through his mind, by none that was good enough. When Isola and the other girl took the girl on the sofa out, Balthazar just roared in frustration, and followed her out after a while.

"They can still rape you..." he said, trying to warn her, though he had already lost hope of affecting her so the answer came almost as a whisper. He then turned around and walked back to the others. Sure, he didn't want Jean to get hurt, but perhaps they had both bad enough of him running after her. As he reached the house once again he could hear Bazz little roar from the inside. Leo gave the girls a questioning look as they came out. What had they done to make Bazz act like that? He was about to go back in when Bazz came thru the door as well. "Girl problems?" He said with an understanding face. This sure weren't their day.

Isola heard Balthazar roaring from inside the bar, but ignored both him and then Leo as they came out of the building, just as he had done to her before. She was not in the mood for any demeaning looks from him, especially not now. Yet Isola couldn't help but glare angrily at them and muttering quietly to herself: "Why save her from being killed by some vampires, just to get killed by some others?"

Balthazar did not respond to either Leo's or Isola's comments. He just looked at the girls they just saved, or "saved" in Isolas opinion, and wondered what the hell now. "Do you have anywhere to go?" He asked the girls, trying to not sound too mean. The girls who where concious nodded slowly. Balthazar thought he should see to it that they got home himself, but he just waved in a cab, and gave the driver 500 pounds. The girls got in, and the cab drove away.

At Balthazars question Isola answered with a shrug and a nod, for she really had nowhere to go and he knew that she was homeless. After she had made sure that all girls except herself had gone into the taxi and drove off, she turned to Balthazar and Leo. Still angry her curiosity got the upper hand and Isola couldn't help but ask: "I know it sounds ungrateful, but why did you come here?" Just after she asked, she regretted it a bit because she was definitely not ungrateful, on the contrary she was very grateful. Isola bit her lip, avoided eye contact with them and combed away hair from her face with her fingers while she nervously waited for an answer.

Leo didn't care much for Isolas ignorance, but Baz's disturbed him a bit. He'd never seen him like this. He watched them for a while and as the question arose an answer came without him thinking. "Sarah sold you for her own life's sake" it came out a bit wrong, but at the moment all he could think about was: why didn't I kill Sarah? Hm...

Balthazar new she wasn't ungrateful, although it sounded as if she were. But he was not in a good mood right now and he did not feel like covering his real thoughts in nice words. "Yeah, now I wonder why too." He had felt so much better if he hadn't. But he had felt too human just a moment ago.

Isola was surprised and a bit ashamed because she had been so angry at them, she released her guard and looked at Balthazar. "I'm sorry .. I did not mean to .." She didn't really know what to would say, but walked up and hugged Balthazar quickly, backed a few steps and looked at them both and said quietly embarrassed and with a grateful smile: "Thanks .."

Leo looked from one to the other, not getting much of what was just happening. He would have wanted to ask Bazz if this Isola chick always was this weird. But perhaps this wasn't the right moment. Perhaps he should go check on Jean.. His thoughts wandered away for a moment, so Isolas excuse sort of caught him off guard. He looked at her slightly puzzled, shrugged and looked at Bazz to see what more strange reaktions he could have to this girl.

Balthazar's need for blood just got worse as Isola hugged him, but he managed to shrug it off. He mumbled a little "you're welcome", and looked at the passed out girl. He turned to Leo and asked him: "What shall we do with her?"

Leo gave him a thoughtful look and then sighed. "I don't know, she seemed more or less crazy when we were down there... What can we do? I hate to say it, but if set free she might just end up on some institution.."

Isola took her bag and began to walk away, she didn't want to see when they killed the unconscious girl ..

Balthazar thought about what Leo said, and when Isola began to walk, he could sense why that was. She thought they were going to kill her. He wanted to shout to her that they were not. But he did not know if they would actually save her. The lack of blood in Balthazar came with a lack of humanity. He sat down beside the girl and looked up at Leo for some sign, anything.
