Just a couple of days after Ice had visited Balthazar, Baz himself searched for Ice. He hadn't told him where he lived, or worked, but Baz soon found out it wasn't that hard to track him down, and he felt almost ashamed it was so easy. If he'd just put in a little effort to look for Ice, he would have found him, but he hadn't done that. Baz stepped in to the bar he now knew Ice was working in, and stepped up to the bartender. Without a hi, he just went straight to it. ”Is Ice working here today?” When the bartender looked at Baz like he had no idea what he was talking about Baz too looked a bit confused. Had he gotten the wrong information?? Wasn't this where he worked? But he then remembered that Ice wasn't really his real name, and asked again: ”Oliver?” That name the bartender recognized. ”Oh, yeah, sure, he's just on the other side.” He pointed with his thumb over his shoulder towards the shelves with liquor behind him, but Baz could see it was a round bar, and just nodded a thank you to the bartender, and went to the other side. He took his time though, not knowing how Ice would react and didn't wanted to sneak up on him. He was busy serving drinks though, and didn't notice Baz until it was his time to get served. ”I'll just have a glass of red wine.” He said with a smirk. Oh, vampires and their red wine.

Ice was feeling quite in his element, so totally focused on his work that he didn't have time to reflect on the fact that he was talking to people. It had been a couple of trying days until he figured out that if he only kept his head down, not looking at the people in the bar and really just focused on the drinks he got by real good. He even got himself a little reputation as a really good mixologist, a guy so into his work that it seemed as if he didn't notice you when you ordered. What he really did was actually making up music and just working on routine. He had learned how to make drinks good and fast as he was touring with Angels at Night, since Jean and Leo were such alcoholics. He was figuring out a tricky part of the bridge as he tossed the bottle in the air, poured it into the mixer, shaking it in time with the beat in his head, spinning the glass in his hand, pouring the drink and sliding it over to the girl who ordered it and turning to the next customer. He had already turned away to get the winebottle before the voice belonging to the person who ordered could cut through the music in his mind. He made a visible start and felt his face slowly burning up as he froze on the spot. Now the only sound in his ears were that of his own rapid heartbeat as he slowly pivoted around, as if on a spinning wheel. "B-Baz." he stated, staring at his former band leader.

Baz had enjoyed watching as Ice served the drinks. He was really good, and didn't really feel like the shy boy Baz had known. The red face when he noticed Baz, he recognized though. "Ice." Baz stated back, with a slight smile. He had come at a late hour, so it wouldn't be too long before the bar closed, and he would be able to talk to Ice, if he couldn't get away earlier. "I have come to apologize. Do you have time to talk later?"

Since Ice were working in the fancy drink part of the bar there wasn't too much traffic at this time of night, but he still had two or three persons waving to get his attention. He gave them a harassed glance and then turned his eyes back toward Baz. Maybe if he ran..? No, that's just silly. Baz was SO much faster then him. Also it was silly. Running never solved anything. Except most things. But he was supposed to be an adult now, right? He stood hesitating for some seconds more, then he quickly nodded and turned away to get Baz' his wine. He served it without looking at him and went back to his other customers. But he was constantly aware of Baz watching him, so he couldn't concentrate on what he was doing. He was just awkward and jerky now, spilling the drinks and being sloppy. Thank God one of his coworkers caught his desperate look after some minutes and came to relieve him. Ice awkwardly climbed out of his apron and went around the bar to where Baz sat. Then he insecuredly hovered near him, not sure of what to say or do. He wasn't even sure if he had seen him, as he didn't dare seek Baz eyes.

Baz sat waiting for an answer from Ice, but when he turned to serve the other customers, he realized he wouldn't get one. Okey, fine, he thought to himself, Ice is one awkward kid, and not getting an answer from him doesn't mean anything. When Ice later came to join Baz, he made a small wave to the bar stool next to him, for Ice to sit down. "Please. Take a seat. Relax. As I said I have come to apologize, I am not going to bite." Even at a serious moment like this, he couldn't help but to joke a little.

Ice barely heard him over the music, even though they had turned it down quite a bit this close to closing. He heard enough to gingerly sit down on the chair Baz had motioned to, as is THAT might bite him even though Baz wouldn't. He glanced up at Baz but didn't know how to start. He left that up to Baz, as always. It was hard not to fall back in to old roles the second he met him.

Again, Baz waited for an answer, but as usual, he didn't seem to get one. "Oookey..." He said awkwardly. "I'm sorry about last time, it didn't go to well. I want you to know, that I understand if you feel like it was all my fault. I should have... Well... Kept a better eye on everyone."

"N-no, I- ... It w-wasn't y-your fault, re-really!" Ice said, bright red. "I-I'm the one wh-who should ap-pologize, a-and I a-am. Apo-pologizing, th-that is. I'm r-r-really s-sorry Baz." For everything, he mentally added, but he had already babbled on way to much. He lowered his gaze from Baz' face again and stared at his knobbly, awkward knees.

"You have nothing to apologize for." He smiled slightly at Ice, although he might not see it, with him staring at his knees. "I came on too hard on you last time anyway, and I'm sorry for that."

"Y-yeah, well... I-I s-shouldn't have y-yelled at you." he mumbled in the direction of his hands, lying uselessy in his lap.

"As I said, I understand. It's all right." He looked around at the bar. "It's a nice bar. Do you like it here?" He asked to change the subject, and maybe loosen Ice up a bit.

"Y-yeah, it's a g-good place." he answered. Then he totally ran out of things to say. He'd never been what you'd call a good conversationist.

"You said you played here too, right? I'd love to come one night." He smiled at Ice again, realizing how much he'd missed Ice, although he didn't say that much. It was a nice change from Leo and Jean.

"y-yeah, we p-play wednesdays and fridays. B-but you d-don't h-have to come." he said hastily. I'd love to hear you play were just something you said to be polity and he didn't want Baz to feel like he had to come listen.

"No, but I'd like to. Do you play by yourself, or do you have a new band?"
