"It's not that I'm ungrateful! I don't spit in his face, I'm just.. I needed someone to talk to.. and.. he.. everyone leaves." Her voice was trembling. She was exhausted and the tears weren't far away.

"Tell me, do you know anyone, ever, that just got an apartment free of charge, without being expected to give anything in return, just like that?" It was obvious that Isola was close to tears, but Jean didn't much think it mattered. "I can't say I have, so show some bloody respect."

"What do you mean free of charge? I have to pay the rent.. And if it is how you see things, in material things? He can have his fucking apartment back! I'll be dead soon anyway.. What right did she have ti say things lik that? Sure, Isola wasn't the most grateful person but this wasn't what she considered as consideration.

"Yes, most people has to pay rent, I'm one of them. But he hasn't asked one single thing of you in return, and one would think that with all your ranting about being homeless, you would know how important a home is." She was very tired of this behavior, she almost wondered if Leo gave her his apartment because he saw himself in her, this constant self pity was driving her insane.
"Let me tell you something, I came here to make sure you didn't manage to off yourself, not to hear you feel sorry for yourself. I have offered you my help and if you don't want it that is fine, but when I walk out that door, don't for a second think I did so for any other reason than that you told me to." She looked at the broken door, pausing before finishing. "That is not me leaving, that is you kicking me out."

"No, don't go. I'm sorry!" Isola didn't want to be alone again and after all Jean had come to make sure that nothing bad had happened to her. She cared about her, sort of. She started to cry and rose from the couch to stop Jean from leaving. "I'm really sorry, I'm truly grateful for all the things you have done.. I just have a problem with being helped and to say thanks. Please don't go, Jean."

"I haven't really done anything. But don't be expecting Leo to take care of you, he can't even take care of himself." Had her goal been to make her cry? No, not really, but things could have been hell of a lot worse. "I am not leaving, but unless you have a habit of doing everything for complete strangers in need, you should understand why other people doesn't do it either." She felt like she had got her point across, and took a deep breath to calm down. It was slightly worrisome that she still got so defensive about Leo though. "So what is our next move?"

"I don't know.." Isola wiped away her tears with her bandages and sat down in the sofa again. "I'm leaning towards the whole stay-from-Sarah idea."

Feeling that it probably didn't help to stand towering over Isola, Jean sat down next to her, beginning to pull away lose pieces of dry skin from her fingers. "Do you think simply staying away would work?"

"Not really, but there's not much else to do."

"At this point, it seems you have to chose from staying away, returning and just try and keep a low profile until an opportunity shows up, or have me go there and hit her in the face." The last of which seemed very likely to result in her getting her arse kicked.

"Well, I guess that return and try to keep a low profile is the only thing that will work. If I stay away, she'll find me and if you go over there to punch her face in, you'll get killed."

"Probably." Felt good the first time. Not so good when she hit her back though. "Suppose there isn't much else to do. Just, do as she says and try not to piss her off. Seems like you should have someone on your side if that redhead is there though, she's pretty normal. Or so I have been told anyway." Jean wasn't convinced.

"Yeah, I guess.. " Isola sighed as she remembered how she had behaved against Simone and Tom. Perhaps she should go over to Tom tomorrow and apologize, he tried to help her after all. "She's not that normal, Simone agreed to help Sarah with getting new humans.. Willing humans." Isola pointed out to Jean.

Jean took a moment to stare aimlessly at a non existing horizon, before finally ending it by dragging her hand along her scalp from the neck to the front. Since her hair was already lacking much of a particular style, it didn't do much of a difference however.
"Why would... No. I am not getting into any more of this." She informed herself in a very determined voice, although it might have looked like she was warning Isola to not get her into any more drama rather than herself. "Baz's girl, Baz's problem. He's a big lad, I don't have to babysit him." Now she was obviously speaking to none other than herself, before collecting her thoughts.
"You know what, you said you needed to talk. Let me get that bottle you spoke about earlier and we will talk." With that said, Jean moved herself back to the kitchen and the fridge, got herself the previously mentioned liquor and sat her arse down on the couch next to Isola (although with no intention what so ever of letting her actually drink of her own beverage).

Isola remained on the couch while Jean went off to fetch the whiskey. She wondered what she could talk about but just came up with topics that Jean didn't want to discuss. Things that involved vampires. She peeled the bandages, trying to loosen a bit at them so she could see how serious the wound was, but looked up again when Jean came back. "You okay?"
